Sharon Hill, PA. Education4Tomorrow participated in an educational programming brainstorming session hosted by Delaware County Community College. There, Education4Tomorrow Executive Director Dafan Zhang, among other civic and political leaders, discussed the community's present and emerging educational needs. Key issues discussed include: the cost and access to traditional higher education; the damaging effects of for-profit certificate programs; the possibilies of intern- and externship-based practical education; and the culture and language barriers that block immigrant communities from higher education. Discussing these concerns reaffirmed the importance of Education4Tomorrow's mission to close the gaps that persist between formal and community education. Education4Tomorrow and its members will continue to work closely with Delaware County Community College and other local organizations to resolve these immediate issues and fulfill its broader goals.
